What Is the Right Size Work Space to Match Your Computer Monitor?

Buying The Right Office Furniture

Whether they own a large cubicle or desk, or a very small one, most people and business owners don’t always think about the importance of matching their workspace to their computer screen. If you work on the computer in your home office on a daily basis, this little detail is actually very important, since it not only has to do with ergonomics, but it’s also able to influence your working efficiency.

If your computer is the centerpiece of your workspace, then you have to keep in mind that the rest of the workspace has to complement the size of your screen and not the other way around. So if you need a large screen to work on design tasks, for example, then you have to consider buying a larger desk too, and look at office chairs for sale that are larger too.

The real question is, how much larger or how much smaller should your desk really be? This factor will usually depend on how much you use your computer on a regular basis. Do you need it all the time, or just to make a few calculations, send a few emails and introduce some stats into a database every now and then?

Based on your answer, you should already have a fairly good idea about the difference in proportion between your computer screen and the rest of your workspace.
